miLE 7,104 - Chillax Cologne Day 6

This one is going to be a short one since it basically turned out to be a recovery day. Woke up super early in Paris, checked out of my hostel - they make you take your sheets downstairs, and then took the train to Gare du Nord station where I had about an hour to kill before my train.  The train itself was really nice and honestly it went by super quick.  When I took a glance at where we were, I saw that we were about 2 hour driving distance away and it had only been 30 minutes. High speed train for the win!  Only took about 2 hours to get to Cologne.

The first thing you notice when you walk out of the train station is the massive gothic cathedral that Cologne is known for.  It is super close to the station so you actually don't even notice it until you look up.  Magnificent building and to think that it was started in the 1200s.  

After I checked in to my Airbnb I decided to grab some grub and seeing as how I'm in Germany I went for a bratwurst at a place called Curry Cologne.  It was absolutely delicous!  

After a nice meal I decided to buy a Hop On, Hop Off bus tour that goes through several sites in Cologne and also included a boat tour.  I jumped on the bus and ended up just going through all the stops.  I figured I could see which ones I wanted to hit tomorrow and because i just didn't feel like walking. Queue whiny Manoj noise.  

After I got back to my Airbnb area I went for some dinner and then passed out super early. Tomorrow will be my full activity day in Cologne. 

Sorry for the boring day but it was and is much needed.
